She grew up in the magical kingdom of the Dominican Republic, in a musical castle, the child of two well-known musicians. She followed in their footsteps, singing harmonies at an early age with her sisters and performing for the townspeople with her family. At age 12, Alih won 2nd place in the Children's Latin American Voice Festival, and a year later became the host of the popular television show "Topi Topi de Fiesta".
As a teenager, Alih began to play the harpsichord and create melodies of her own. She was signed by Universal Music Latino at 16. Her first single, "It's OK", became an instant hit.
Alih released two albums with Universal, followed by an independent release, ‘Necia. Alih played in SXSW while promoting "Necia," and was a winner of the iTunes Jukebox Jury. She also toured with Paulina Rubio in her "Pau-Latina" tour in the US. After 3 successful Latin works, her latest album is in English, with the new single called "Entertain Me."
