The ability - the desire - to be fully present and be okay with “what is” seems impossible and painful right now. There is too much anger and fear in the world.

Perhaps that is when we most need this kind of statement of possibility? Listen to “Absolutely Present” and see.

Michael Biello and Dan Martin have dedicated their lives and their work to creating “bridges between art, dance, performance, and theatre. And bridges between people – LGBTQ and straight, black and white, male and female, young and old.” Biello is a ceramic sculptor/theatre artist and Martin is a composer/music producer. They are life-partners and longtime creative collaborators - 47 years and counting!

"Absolutely Present" was originally written for Biello & Martin's musical The Cousins Grimm (book by Ted Sod). In 2018 Biello and Martin began developing Michael & Dan's Amazing Queer Songbook, a musical memoir celebrating their years and work together. They’re filming/recording 20 of their original songs with some of the great musical theatre artists they've worked with over the years - including Javier Muñoz (Hamilton in Hamilton), who has appeared in their musicals including In My Body and Marry Harry.
