Hour Children's 3rd Annual Luncheon

On May 5th 2016, Hour Children had their 3rd annual Luncheon benefit at the Bedford Hills Golf and Tennis Club- and Hope Sings was there. Founder Beth Blatt performed a song she wrote for their Songs for a Cause benefit last year inspired by letters exchanged between an incarcerated mother and her daughter. Playing the role of Beth’s daughter was 13-year-old Tara Curran, who performs with the music duo, Justin and Tara and her band, Gilber. Tara and Beth were accompanied by award- winning composer Michael Minard on piano. More details to come!

Songs For A cause to benefit Hour Children

On June 28th 2015, Hope Sings produced its first “Songs for a Cause” benefit concert at The Katonah Public Library to benefit Hour Children, a non-profit organization whose mission is to help incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women and their children successfully build healthy, independent and secure lives. The event showcased the original music of Jake Klar, as well as Hope Sings’ own singer-songwriters Beth Blatt and Elizabeth Kemler, who both wrote and performed songs inspired by success stories from Hour Children.

The event was a huge success—we filled the house, spread the word about the amazing work of Hour Children, and raised much-needed funds to support them.

"The musical recital  was beyond beautiful.

I don't remember when music so touched my life.

I cried, laughed and had the chills.

Your music was a great way to make us ware ...a great way to make a difference."
