I almost didn’t share this. The gratitude was turning to guilt. I’m a Have: good health, loving friends and family, sufficient resources. I’m not working the ICU, not manning a food bank, not importing masks from China (Emily McKhann and Andy Cooper!).
What I also have is Hope Sings. Another outlet for my urge to “help.” Somehow. Yes, I’m supporting causes, calling a local senior, feeding my family, staying healthy. And trying to keep people smiling, positive, healthy. I’m doing what I can. Which is all any of us can do.
Today’s Lyrics With Friends is “Feeling Grateful” (to Simon and Garfunkel’s “Feeling Groovy”). Now, I know this song is kinda hard to sing. My French husband didn’t know it. But it keeps popping out of my mouth, so here it is.
